SERVICES
Goal Planning

You've heard it before, writing down your goals may be the most important step in achieving them.  We will establish short-term and long-term financial goals and then track the progress.  Using software developed exclusively for clients, we will be able to answer the following questions:

  • Are these goals realistic or are they in need of adjustment?
  • Are you saving enough or not enough?
  • Are you taking too much risk or do you need to put more in stock in the case of an aggressive goal?
  • Are you using the path of least resistance (i.e. using the right investment options)?

Once we know the answers to these questions, a plan can be put in place to achieve them with ongoing monitoring and adjustment as necessary.

Investment Advice

Probably the cornerstone of any financial plan are the investment choices.  Many try and steer you away from the fact that the main reason you use a financial advisor is to make more money on your investments.  In fact most statements outside of 401(k)s do not even have a rate of return because they are afraid you will see you are underperforming and move your money elsewhere.  Retirement plans such as 401(k)s will show you because you can't move your money out.  Therefore it is my job to provide you with knowledgable advice to improve your returns AND give you the tools to determine whether the advice is working or not.  This comes in the form of:

  • annual detailed reviews of your overall investment portfolio complete with specific recommendations
  • various charts to explain the reasons behind the recommendations so you will understand and can make an educated decision (no changes are made without your first giving approval)
  • quarterly performance reports which include your RATE OF RETURN and all major indexes so you can compare the results
  • quarterly investment review to ensure the investments chosen at the annual review have not gone through any major changes that require an adjustments such as a mutual fund manager being replace
